Super 8 Tournament Recap
Under 12 Boys and Girls:
Levi Billson and Hanno van Deventer: These young stars, at just 10 years old, competed in their first U12 tournament. Their experience in this tournament was invaluable, as they got a firsthand look at the level of tennis they’ll be facing in the coming years. This exposure will undoubtedly be beneficial as they continue their tennis journey.
Joel Fourie and Aiden Dodd: Both players displayed impressive skills and competitive spirit, earning some solid results in this age group. Their determination shows that they are ready to take on any challenge that comes their way.
Esme Shinners: A dynamic force on the court, Esme played with incredible energy and secured some fantastic wins. She finished strong, landing in the top half of the draw, which is a commendable result in a highly competitive category.
Under 14 Boys:
Jayden Billson, Joshua van Deventer, and Aiden McConnel: These young players represented JLS Tennis Academy in the U14 division. Their participation and effort in this age category demonstrate the potential for great results in the near future.
Under 16 Boys:
Ethan Dodd: Ethan continued his impressive run this year by dominating the U16 draw. He showcased his exceptional talent by finishing 5th overall at the Super 8, maintaining his reputation as a formidable opponent. Ethan’s ability to challenge and test his opponents is a testament to his growing skill and strategic mindset on the court.
Under 16 Girls:
Mika Keet: Mika represented JLS Tennis Academy in the U16 girls’ category, gaining valuable experience and showcasing her talent against top competitors.
Men’s Open:
Conrad Badenhorst: Competed fiercely, representing the academy at the highest level.
Gabbi Coetzee: Gabbi fought hard in the tournament but was defeated in the quarterfinals by the second seed, who went on to win the tournament. This experience will serve as a stepping stone for Gabbi to continue honing her skills and strategies.

Belgrave Grand Prix Tournament Highlights
Our players truly excelled at the Belgrave Grand Prix, demonstrating that their hard work and training continue to yield impressive results.
Ethan Dodd: Ethan’s incredible run continued as he clinched victory in both the singles and doubles U16 categories. His performances were a masterclass in skill, endurance, and determination, proving once again that he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Gabbi Coetzee: Gabbi emerged victorious in the U16 singles, overcoming Ciaran McConnell in a thrilling match. Her dedication and resilience were on full display as she secured the win, adding another title to her growing list of accomplishments.

International Success
Morgan Jordaan: Morgan had an outstanding run, winning the J100 doubles in Pretoria. Additionally, Morgan reached the semi-finals of the J300 in Durban. Unfortunately, the tournament was cut short due to rain, but this result still demonstrates Morgan’s exceptional talent and ability to perform at a high level on the international stage.
